The AMRC with Boeing are currently recruiting a number of Project Engineers to join the Machining Group.
The Machining Group focuses on the research, development and application of state of the art machining technologies (http://www.amrc.co.uk/research/machining-ptg/). The group has an excellent track record of developing technology and integrating it into a shop floor environment to demonstrate financial benefit to partners. This ability to translate technological advances into bottom line savings has led to a large growth in demand from its aerospace partners and a growing need for skilled engineers with an interest in manufacturing.
As a Project Engineer, you will be part of one the Technology Development / Machining Applications teams and will focus on one of our core disciplines in either Aerofoil machining, Additive / Hybrid machining, or the development of Rotative disc components. You will work with multiple customers, support the scoping of new work and deliver defined projects. You will investigate areas of research which can enhance productivity and quality of machining processes. The work will be managed by a project manager and you will receive support and guidance by relevant technical lead and technical fellow. You will need to have a high standard of engineering experience / qualification, be able to manage your time effectively and follow quality and project management procedures.
