Next week we are running a careers session for students to meet Tony Shute (BEng Mechanical Engineering 1972), Director of Ash Automotive Ltd.

Tony will be on hand to answer questions about his career and offer tailored advice to students who have an interest in automotive engineering, project management and/or PR.
Since his graduation from the University of Sheffield in 1972, Tony has developed an international career in automotive engineering. Tony started out working for General Motors in both the UK and USA and has since worked at Goodyear and Lotus before setting up a new company Caterham Technology and Innovation. Highlights of his career have included carrying out PR work for Goodyear for Formula One and project managing the delivery of a new range of Lotus cars and also the Aston Martin Vanquish.
Tony has a wealth of experience and is looking forward to providing students with an insight into his career and industry, as well as offering advice on CVs, applications and interviews.
Students who attend will have the chance to ask specific questions about their own career path and chat with Tony about his personal experiences.
