Sheffield Students’ Union Academic Awards 2016
Celebrating those who enhance academic life
Each year, the Students’ Union hosts the prestigious Academic Awards, aiming to recognise those who have improved the educational experience for our students.
Last year, over 350 nominations were received from staff and students across 16 different categories.
This year, the awards will take place on Thursday 19 May and promise to be an exciting evening of celebration – with dinner, entertainment and of course, the awards themselves.
For 2016, the awards focus on four key areas:
– Student support and wellbeing (e.g. personal tutors, non-academic staff)
– Supporting students to succeed (e.g. academic skills, employability
– Representation and change-making (e.g. student representation, campaigns,
– Excellence in learning and teaching (e.g. digital teaching, feedback)
Nominations are open until Friday 22 April.
